Introducing The Whore's Apprentice

Introducing The Whore's Apprentice
Wellington Is Beautiful, Wellington Is My Home

Sunday, 25 March 2007

I have decided that Sundays should be for doing nothing, after a long night of socializing over coffee with some rather wonderful company, I am now feeling more than a little tired.

The week itself has been long, what with working six days a week now, it would seem as though I barely have enough time to post on my blog.

I have however managed to keep in touch with all of those that are important including an old friend who I had not heard from in a while.

As always the conversation via phone that I had with the wonderful RMF was brilliant, in spite of comment about the fact that my Spanish is considered “baby Spanish”.

We discussed my travel plans along with some of his, who really knows what is going to happen, though that is less important as there is plenty of time to check out everything.

Saturday this week was brilliant again, myself and my mate SF went and took photos of Wellington, no the photo on the front page is not a set backdrop, it is a real sunset in Wellington are you jealous, you should be.

Getting Through Saturday 17/03/07

So after keeping away form the alcohol last night, also getting through the working day today, I am feeling surprisingly energetic.

I am sure as you get older the hangovers last longer, that notwithstanding I have managed to not only go to work but captain an impressive team toward a great victory.

In the relay for life competition there were over 100 teams of which the top 10 are usually the New Zealand Air Force, High Schools Athlete Teams and the Gym Trainers, each of which will have a couple of teams and not to mention a large number of people on their relay squad, so turning up with only myself and four others left me feeling slightly disadvantaged, that notwithstanding we still managed to get to seventh place, I might add ahead of Les Mills, one of New Zealand's top gyms.

All I can say is "eat humble pie Les Mills you got left for dust by a group of bankers!!" ooops was that a little too loud?

Needless to say I walked home feeling quite accomplished this evening, maybe it was because of the lack of food or extreme pressure placed on my body but I could not help but notice how beautiful Wellington is at the we small hours in the morning.

Oh that's right Wellington is beautiful anyway.

Friday We Go Bowling/ Hangover16th 07

Today I woke up feeling like total bollocks, needless to say the alcohol is running through every vain in my body and now spilling out of the pores in my skin.
I can smell tequila and gin and the last thing I want right now is to have another drink, though it is fate that I should have organised a staff function tonight where consumption is unavoidable.
Tonight my flock from work and I are going bowling at the new bar and bowling alley in town, and I am two sheets to the wind in the being able to consume department, this is unusual being that I am usually the one encouraging such behaviour.
Relay for life is just around the corner and I am hoping that I can muster the strength I need before tomorrow to make a decent effort.
We need to be able to beat the gym teams this year.

Will keep you posted.

Thursday 15/03/07 Pondo

Thursday last week was fantastic, unfortunately I have not had much time to post lately, well after a long day at work, not to mention knowing that the following day I would get my first sleep in for what had been some time, I decided to treat myself to a few drinks at my favourite water hole, "Pondorosa" mmmm with simply licentious cocktails, I had reached orgasmic heights.

After being entertained for hours by the brilliant bar staff I was well on my way to that happy place, the conversation was fantastic, as drunk as I was we still made great conversation, though one of my mates who happened to be with me seemed to bring things to a halt every now and then with his "I once new this person who could" stories.
That notwithstanding the night was amazing and I got home to feel suspiciously sick, though now on a first name basis with both of the staff.

Monday's

Today I did my long shift for the week, in an effort to boost my income so that I can save some extra cash, I will be doing this on a regular basis.

So, cranky as I was I got out of bed this morning and donned my work clothes to head to work, the sun had not even risen over the city yet it was time for me to head down the quay.

Not even coffee seemed to wake me from my somewhat slumberous state of mind, though the rude awakening of getting to the office to find that we had hit one of the busiest days yet changed all of that.

All that said I think I probably spent more of my time arranging my personal calendar in order to fudge together arrangements for the coming week.

Much of today was spent laughing, I got woken up repeatedly by my flat mate last night, someone had some special medicine when they where at the concert, so my flat mate compelled as he was simply had to declare his love for everyone, sweet but oh my a shock to the system, this is not to say that the messages where not well received, as always I was glad to hear my flat mate was having a such a joyous time.

My mobile did however get turned off when we got to four in the morning, so it's comes as no surprise that my phone was bombarded with messages when I finally switched it back on again, random fits of laughter had my colleagues worried as they have not heard my shriek of laughter in the office for some months now, so much so that they where beginning to wonder if I were human at all, today's outbreak confirmed that if anything I am a little crazy, for those of you that know me this is probably more of an undisputed fact than a possibility, ha ha.

This Friday we are going to "The Lanes" the wonderful bowling alley that I have mentioned in previous post's, Not too mention working the following day, this is all to be followed by running for charity from Midnight till four the following morning, there is a reason my mother included a bottle of gin with my running shoes in the courier pack that arrived at my desk today.

Mother knows best though, I shall enjoy the gin very much, I imagine that my flat mate will also take comfort in a few glasses with me on Sunday.

Will keep you all posted...

Back Home, Time For That Barbecue At Home With My Mate Max

I always know I am at home when I pass those god awful apartments at the end of our street, can you believe people live in those studio apartments?

This evening we made hamburgers, though dinner was interrupted by a friend in need, meaning that my mate had to leave temporarily to tend to one of his flock.
All good though as the burgers where delicious and television has got alot better on Sundays as it turns out.
Will keep you all posted.

Just When I Thought The Day Had Finished

With the evening still not fully set in, myself and my friend went to visit one of those hidden beauties that I had mentioned earlier.
It was off to Wilton which is not that far out of town, in fact it is one of the suburbs of the city, but this place unlike some of the others has a reserve, you know you are in Wilton when you can hear the birds singing in the air and the air is so fresh.

Walking down some of the paths watching the birds fly through the trees and swiftly move across the ground was fantastic.
